Problems with electricity

Hello everybody,

I heard from one of the owners that was told by the guys of the constructor to leave the apartment because it does not have electricity. She completed 2 months before but apparently, the developer has to pay a considerable amount of money that owes the Developer. This owner said that Rushcliff was going to sort out the problem and compensate the clients by paying them the mortgage and holidays booking. Does anybody heard something about it? There are many others who are expecting to rent their properties and would like to be informed about this.

You probably meant that the developer has to pay to the constructor, right ?

this is a very quiet site i have been informed my property will be ready by easter 2008 has anybody else heard anything

I completed on site Nov 06 at Palmeras, Ive had a few problems with electrics but everything seems to be okay now.  Had quiet a large snag list as well!  Any body else had any problems - or any idea when the site will be fully completed?

Yeah me too, purchased when it was just a hill side, think it was April 2004!  Which block have you purchased? I'm in block 2, Ive stayed there for a week in June, then rented it out until Nov! I must say they are finished off pretty well - I got a furniture package with it and its not bad at all!

are they easy to rent and what kind of return do u get

I got a tenant really quickly within a week the rent was 750 euro per month. 

Somebody else has been looking over Christmas but haven't heard anything else yet. Hopefully will have someone in soon.  Otherwise might have to spend the whole summer there!  I wish!

The bottom seems to have fallen out of the property market in Costa del sol at the moment, Ive seen some apartments in Palmeras for sale at less than 199000 euros!!! 

i know its bad times if we sell at the moment we will lose money not what i thought when i bought esp as i am buying one in murcia as well I cant remember what block i am at the moment i will let u know when i look at paperwork.

Well Murcia seems okay, I nearly purchased in La Manga - but went for Calahonda instead!!

well they r going up in value in murcia problem is all that corruption in marbella, if u want to sell quickly u might have dropped a clanger but i am sure things will pick up gradually anyway its a nice area.

I guess we'll just have to weather the storm! but your right its a nice area, whenever it gets finished!

I'm near Leeds, well its nice talking to other owners, i'll let you know how I get on over there, one things for sure it will be warmer!

Yeah, got back on Saturday - had a great time - lovely sunny weather - met the new Completions Mangager Claire who was staying in my block - she's very nice and seems to know what she's doing, so things should start to progress.

Told the site would be complete in 3 months or so, it is looking good, 2 swimming pools completed and the 3rd and childs pool is on its way.  The views from the pools are great.

I'm going to try and download some photos onto the site - wish me luck!

Hi Lisa & Ian,

Have also purchased a property at Palmeras block 11. We completed Jan 07 and are still waiting on our furniture package ! so have been unable to use it. We had a 2wk break there last October and its great to see the progress made since then, they had only just started on the main pool & the kiddies one.  Just to let you know that there is another forum for this dev listed under LAS PALMERAS CALAHONDA  which has a lot more postings and details of problems etc.

We are heading out again on the 1st March so will post an update and new photos on our return.

I didn't really have a nosey at that side of the site as there was too many builders about, but I think you should have some great views and you have the 2 pools near you.  It might be pushing it for 3 or 4 months but that is what they have stated - but there again they have said that before!

Have you checked out the other forum?
