EHIC - a word of warning

Having spotted that our EHIC cards had expired, I went on to the web to get them renewed

A google search gave me a number of sites and I chose a likely looking url

I'd just about worked my way through the entire application process for the both of us, when up popped a page asking for £49 per card renewal!!!

Knowing thet these cards are provided free of charge (at the moment) I went back to google to look for the official site, which I eventually found

The official site for EHIC renewal for residents in England is (I hope) www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx

The dodgy one I visited first was www.ehicuk.org/
