Any one ever recieved a refund from La Condesa

Hi all.

Just stumbled upon this forum again by accident - after losing our life savings to the low life who, like everyone, promised us a bank gaurentee and being scammed by the lawyers who represented us....just wondered if anyoine ever managed to either win a case and get any sort of refund ??

Something very strange happened over the past few days. My old solicitor took my claim to court and won both the 1st instance and the appeal v Sol Mijas Developers SL. However, I was expected to pay the legal costs myself. I managed to find approximately 20k euro by taking a UK bank loan out for £15k. 

I became increasingly frustrated and felt what I wasn't in control of the situation (being a lone female) so I eventually moved to a UK based notary who was recommended. 

It turned out that despite having long conversations with a named contact at Banco Pastor he wasn't getting anywhere....and took funds from the initial payment without providing an explanation for it. I took this matter up with the Legal Ombudsman and received a refund.

I then found Maria....who helped with reclaiming an insured amount. I trusted her because she seemed empathetic. I now am in a quandry as Marias firm won a claim against the bank for the capital in December 2012...and I regained the funds less legal costs (which I am told are presently with the court.

Now Sol Mijas Developers are not only in the Spanish national press for their part in alleged money laundering, but their lawyers got in touch with my old lawyer offering me a fund transaction.

I'll keep you posted on the eventual outcome.

If anyone does in fact still read this forum can you let me know if you or your solicitor has been approached by Sol Mijas Developers SL wanting to 'give' you money??? I know a few have been offered cash.....

Please contact Costaluz as the developers are offering refunds....I'm not sure how the refund is made up ie interest and legal costs etc.....you need to ask Maria and her team. It does look positive though.....beware of solicitors such as ELS...who are still operating in London!

Would anyone like to join me in getting our situation publicised. In 2007 I won the first instance against Sol Mijas Developers SL AND won their appeal in 2009 - these two court hearings costs were significantly legal. I paid my solicitor almost 20k Euro and he is adement that I still owe him over 20k. The deposit paid was 79500 plus IVA so I feel very annoyed that in 2016 I am still being chased for legal costs and whilst Sol Mijas contacted the 'expensive' solicitor (who I decided I couldn't cope with financially or in respect of his attitude towards women (I felt he was quite condescending, especially when I told him my husband was ill and dying) last May regarding the court hearings (both won by me).

The date I originally paid over my deposit was September 2004. Since the above fiasco I have successfully sued Banco Popular for the capital and some interest (I have yet to see how the interest was calculated.). All I want now, some 12 years on from when I paid the deposit, is to finally get closure. No-one has any idea of what this has done to my life. All my funds (literally) have gone to legal costs so I can take action....my life has been seriously affected, but as Sol Mijas Developers SL were brought about to moneylaunder I suppose no-one on their side really cares about someone like me?

We really need to get together and raise the profile of our plight - Keith Rule managed it so we can too!!
