Habitation Certificate

Hi neighbours

I am trying to get my Habitation Certificate for my house on M20-16 Calle de Abanilla, so that I can get my electric connected. My solicitor has told me that because some of my neighbours have got their certifcates on my block, if I could get a copy of it they would be able to get mine sorted. Certificates are granted by block not by individual property.

They also said that if I am unable to get a copy of a Habitation Cert then would it be possible to get a copy of the electricans cert that was done on our block. Then they could get an architect to redraw the plans of the house and get the cert that way. Problem, this is an expensive way to achieve it.

If anyone on SG could have a word with my Spanish neighbours who now have their electric connected I would be very gratefull. I love SG and all the great people I have got to know over the years, I would love to be able to arrive out and know that I have power and be able to spend a lot more time in my Spanish home.

I am arriving out at the beginning of September and it is no fun not having electric. So if anyone can help me I would be very very thankful.

I'm not sure he it works when we signed in Jan our habite cert was ready in the May but we had electric box fitted and connected although were not expecting it.  It seems different rules at different times. As we were told that more recent houses had to have certs before they could be sold? Very confusing. Put message on face book too you may have more luck as some of the Spanish owners also read and comment.
