Hi Jima

 

Please could you tell me more about the second transmission tax. As it isn’t clear. I have paid my 30% and on top of that my 7% I.V.A. Spanish V.A.T. which is normal. So when would I pay my Transmission tax? I checked everything in the contracts with my Spanish Lawyer and she said all was ok.

According to spanish law,the application of VAT is limited to the first transfer of the property. If you were buying direct from the developer this tax would not apply. If you are buying from the Real Estate ( Sunset ) this tax will apply as it is the first transfer of the property.
