  hi john,

thanks for the info and help,
i bought 2 apartments in a1 block, with the intention of keeping one and,
selling the other before completion ,but the way it s looking now im going ,
to be stuck with the 2.
the problem i have now is if i can t sell the 2nd one i will have to take out ,
a mortgage on the 2 of them.
this is something i really did not want to do.
have you ever taken out a spanish mortgage?
because of this i will have to rent it out until it sells.
the other thing is it s a buyers market out there now,
property prices are being  reduced to get a  sale.
my timing in buying off plan is a couple of years too late.
all this has nt put me off spain ,i love the location of cortijo,
i ll just b so glad when it is all done and dusted,
i m glad i found this site ,it helps to talk to fellow buyers ,

 cheers   jim

Hi Jim

Just for you rinformation I would recommend you get hold of a copy of the following books:

(a) The Spanish Property Guide by David Searl published by Santana Books.  (ISBN 84-89954-05-4) e mail Santana@net.es

(b) You and the Law in Spain by David Searl published by Santana Books. (ISBN 84-89954-16-X) e mail as above.

The books I have are a couple of years old and I believe that the two have now been combined although I am not absolutely sure about this.  You may  be able to get a copy from your local library or indeed order one from any good book shop.

In terms of mortgages, this is normally handled through your agent/developer and is just a matter of transferring the mortgage the developers have on your property over to you. However, in your case you have no agent so this is something you may be able to discuss with CasaBlanca.

I assume you have a Lawyer but if not would recommend the following:

Ms Rosa Corredas, Balmoral, Avda de Los Boliches 79 - 1 B

Tel:     0034952581515 (Rosa's direct line number) is Spanish speaks excellent English

0034952466140 (Sandra - Rosa's Assistant - is English but speaks excellent Spanish)

Fax   0034952583530

e mail rosaco@teleline.es

The best time to get her is 8.30 our time (9.30 Spanish time).

I am quite happy for you to tell her that you have been recommended by John & Sue Dedman.

ALL THE ABOVE INFORMATION MAY BE OF USE TO OTHER  BUYERS AT CORTIJO TORREBLANCA

John
