Hello everybody.

My flat is in the 3rd block and the estate agent has just told me it should be ready on time for the end of October but he will give me a definite timescale in mid Oct. I am dead surprised . I will keep you posted.

I would be AMAZED if you complete at the end of October.  The crane was still on site last week!

My apartment (in block one) was supposed to be complete in April.  I'm still waiting.  It's almost ready, but they don't seem in any hurry to complete the snagging list.  It's been over a month since the list was prepared and no progress has beem made on it.  Perhaps they are concentrating on block three instead, but you'd think they'd want my money now the place is almost ready.

Completion Date

Before you get excited - No - we haven't got one.  We were out at the end of September and at the start of our holiday the exterior (of the main block) was not plastered at all at ground floor level on the road side and the end tower was also not done. By the end of 10 days the exterior plastering was almost finished apart from the bit leading down to the car park.

Our estate agent says that builders have told our solicitor that the whole of the first block is ready for snagging and that they have applied to the town hall for the certificate of habitation.  Allegedly as soon as this comes through then things can go ahead, however there is no firm date for this but the inference is "any time now".

I've bought in the first block (the one that's partially occupied already).  My solicitor told me in mid August that the certificate of habitation had come through and we could complete. 

We snagged the apartment the week later (August).  It's now 6th November and none of the snagging points have been addressed!  Don't hold your breath.

Good news.

My solicitor has contacted me.  Appointment booked with the Notary, to sign the deeds and complete, for 21st December.

It's been a long time coming!

Good news.

We completed on the 21st and I received a copy of the deeds in the post on the 28th.

All i need now is furniture and paying guests!

We now have a completion date of 18th January.  Our agent says that they have started to excavate the pool.
