XL Airlines fold!

I cannot thank Tim and the staff at Duquesa Estates for all there help and assistance.  I bought a penthouse in Magnolia and my agents went bust.  I was treated like a valued customer by Tim (he didn;t have to help, he was receiving NO commission. this was done out of the goodness of his heart).  It is very sad to have his words misunderstood considering he is only trying to help and advise us.  I fully agree with his logic on the additional swimming pool, it makes good sense to have another pool rather than just waste ground where unlicensed blocks should have stood!  We have had no choice but to be patient whilst waiting for completion, but now is the time that we should all pull together for the benefit  of Hacienda Casares.  I think we all deserve a gold medal for our patience, and I would like to think that comradship and friendship will develope from our long and tiresome wait.   Kathy

when praising Tim at Duquesa Estates, I omitted the word 'enough' therefore my comments should have read "I cannot thank Tim and his staff ENOUGH" (quite an important word to leave out!)

I also would like to thank Tim for his courtesy when I contacted him. Pity AIFOS doesn't take a leaf out of his book

I would add my voice to this. I am in via BMS, but Tim has been more than a good source of (FREE) information IMHO.

 

OK enough’s enough I’m getting a big head now.

 I do appreciate the supportive comments that have been made.

 I think that the majority of people who have met me over the years have no doubt that I am defiantly on the buyer’s side and am in no way covering up for any of Aifos’s shortfalls.

 Probably a contributing factor in us not being paid our commissions is the fact we won’t allow Aifos to ride roughshod over our customers.

 At the moment we have a very sterile relationship with Aifos with nearly all correspondence being made through our lawyers.

 When we pass on information it is checked and checked again to ensure that we only pass on hard facts.

The swimming pools issue appears to have blown up from my suggestion that the development would benefit from an extra pool, at the moment we have no reason to believe that the original pools in the sales particulars will not be built with the final apartments.

We have now been trying for a week to find out time scales and access for snagging but have so far been unable to get a straight answer, if and when we do get this information it will be passed on.

I do believe that Hacienda Casares will be a very good development to own a property and I have every intention of keeping my apartment here for the long term.

Forums like this can be a real benefit if used correctly, if used in a positive way they can provide vital support and information to all concerned, but if used the wrong way they can leave a few cyber bullies dominating the discussions with negative posts, I hope that the later is not allowed to happen.

We are not out of the woods yet but hopefully very soon people will start taking over their properties and a good community will come into being.

hi i am wondering is any one signing for there apartment any day soon .i was  up there in july and a lot of them looked finished  bar some landscaping .also has any one had any luck with air con for there apartment

I believe that if a group of us agree to have air con installed, we will get a bigger discount, the same goes for Sky installation. So maybe at our first committee meeting this could be one of the subjects on the Agenda.  My apartment is now complete and locked up, but unfortunately the lift has not been installed and there is quite a bit of loose wiring on the landing, On the upside the builders are certainly moving quick NOW, - better late then never I suppose!!!   Kathy

i believe duquesa estates are the best ones to ask about the aircon, they can probably get the best prices and get it all arranged for you, as for the sky i would ask then as well!!

 

We have updated our website with some very good photos including internal shots of the living rooms and kitchens, the views from the Jazmin, Lirio and Orquidea are really great even though yesterday was a little hazy, the views over the golf course are really special once you walk into the apartments you are drawn to the terrace.

We know have the name of the lady who will be overseeing the snagging and will be making contact hopefully today and hopefully people should be able to start snagging in the coming week.

With regard to Air con we sent out a quote in our newsletter from the company we have used for years, this is what they can offer

1)  One external unit installed on the terrace with two internal units for your lounge and master bedroom at a fully inclusive price of 1,675,00 euros

 

 2)  Two external units installed on the terrace with two internal units for your lounge and master bedroom at a fully inclusive price of 1.395,00 euros

 

These units carry a two year guarantee

 

 

We have not shopped around but believe that this offer to be very well priced and is based on selling a large number of units, we do know that the service this company provides is probably the best on the coast, this is from five years of working with them, if a unit is faulty they normal respond and fix it within 24 hours which is invaluable in the middle of the summer.

Sat tv is definitely down to the community and no one should install a satellite dish until a communal system is in place otherwise the apartments would look dreadful with satellite dishes everywhere spoiling the overall look of the development.

We will be able to get a company to install all necessary cabling along with a number of sensitively placed satellite dishes for free! The company would then have exclusivity on the site and get their money back by charging each apartment who wants a connection to the system, again from experience a connection locally is normally around 360 euros but due to the number of properties involved we may be able to reduce this figure.
