Hi All
Got back late last night 08/10/07
First thing first we met John & Mary, what a great couple had a few laughs with them and a right old chin-wag in our villa. I can see John and myself having a few rounds of golf and beer in the near furture, we are really looking forward to meeting up with them again. We all had a beer in Lin & Pete's, there place is in the middle of John's and my place.
The road through the lemon & orange grove is completed right up to S/G entrance now, on S/G most of the road markings are finished and the road signs are in place. There is no electric at the moment and those in the office on site say it could take up to two weeks, mmm.
We done our snagging apart from no electric and water the list was just minor things, a couple of bits of grouting missing hair line cracks nothing of any big deal. Next day two guys came round and done most of the list needed a ladder to finish it. Then the plumber came round connected the water outside and and put two flexi pipes from supply to taps beneath the sink and it was all on, no leaks. Just one thing before the plumber got there i went round and tighten all the waste pipes and joining pipes, all were loose even the washing machine waste so please check all even the sink in the toilet.
Was in the notary about an hour, no problems it was easy with the help of my solicitor. From there we went to pick out our white goods, ( we already had these as a gift from my agent but they were basic so we had an up-grade which cost me 360 euros on top of there 1041 euros great deal so happy with the goods) we got the about 15.30 picked out our goods F/freezer, hob, oven, washing Machine, left about 16.30. At 09.15 the next morning the white goods were delivered and installed by 09.40 what a great job it all looks great. Hows that for service. We also had three a/c -heating units fitted while we were there, and we also had our windows and doors measured for grills they will be fitted this wednesday my neighbours we be overseeing this, all windows and three doors for the Albatros just over 2600 euros thats including the tax, and i have had one of the grills in the basement made so you open it from the inside just in case of an emergency, ( on hinges). the grills will take two hours to fit.
I have got loads of picture to put on, will do this later this evening, I have taken them of most of the area's I must say it is looking fantastic, we heard the the trees along the paths outside the properties will be going in about two weeks time what a difference that will make.
Although the was no electric we got some candles and stayed at the villa and went back to the hotel just to shower we did stay a few nights. Hotel rating -5 we stayed in the hotel most were offered beach huts rating -10 would not have stayed there. I'm sure I have forgotten to tell you all but as soon as I remember I will post it. In the meantime if you want to ask anything please feel free to do so.
The Habitation Certifcate was issued. I must stay there were a few who had damp in there basement but they are dealing with it.
Best Wishes to all.
Tony & Janet 15-30
