Hello again
Pictures of the third phase would be good (ours is No. 143!) Also the pool and park area would be nice, is it complete? Can you enquire of current people living there how much are they paying community charge per year, pool, garden ares etc.
Have a good trip
Brian

Hola,
The costs of community charges will not be fixed until completion of the whole complex. At that stage a commitee will be formed, it is important that we all have our say so the more who attend the better.
We are in phase two and we dont start paying anything until the builders have finished, no electricity charges, thats been good with the air conditioning through the summer.
Does No 143 overlook the mountains or phase 2?
The pool was completed when we went over in Aug but they were having problems with the pump and filter.
Adios.
Jayne

Hi,
Brian - We are going over in early December, nice to learn that the developement may be finished on time if not earlier. Recent pictures of our property (130 end top floor) sent by our agent show steady progress.
Jayne - Any pics taken of the site and village will be greatly appreciated - the last ones you took were really good and informative. Very curious about the 'football pitch' and the land the builders hut is on - would it be possible for you to ask what is happening on these sites.
Really looking forward to spending time in our little piece of Spain - even taking Spanish lessons !!!!
Cheers, Ellen

Hi Jayne and Ellen
Thanks for the replies, it all sounds really exciting and I agree fantastic as it looks as if it will be finished on time.
Ours apartment 143 is a ground floor facing south and phase two. We wanted the sun all day on the front terrace as we haven't a roof terrace.
My agent says that there are only 4 properties left for sale on phase three. 3 top floor and 1 bottom (north facing)
It would be interesting to know what mix of nationalities have bought into the new build, and if there is a lot of Spanish? I thought at the time I first saw the development that a lot of the the ground floor north facing properties would be bought by Spanish as they prefer not to have the sun shining on their houses.
Regards
Brian

Hi
Just want to make you all aware, so hopefully the same doesnt happen to you after completion.
We completed in April this year, returned in May for our furniture to be delievered, At last our dream was becoming a reality.
The weekend following our return to England we received a phone call to say we had been broken into. We had security grills fitted to all the windows, We are on the top floor. somehow they had got onto the sun terrace gone down our steps and ripped out the security grill on the kichen window. The police were very good and came out to take finger prints etc and luckily nothing was taken. Also we were insured so the damage was repaired (but as every thing in Spain it took time)
We were told this is very common on new builds, the thieves can blend in with the builders and watch who is around. It tends to improve as more people move in.
Perhaps when all is completed we need to set up neighbourhood watch! I noticed on last trip some people have had alarms installed.
Take care
Jayne

hello again Jayne
That all sounds horible, I hape that this isn't happening too often, Lorraine will not be happy if this is likely to occur in this area. I was told when I was over there that when they are harvesting the fruit (twice a year I think) they have lots of temporary workers in from Eastern Europe who have been suspected of crime.
You will have to give us tips on insurance, window grills etc.
here's hoping that ther is a lot of people staying permanately.
Brian

Hi, So sorry to hear what happened to Jayne, it must have been really disheartening. I have to admit it makes me so angry.
Trying to figure how they could have got on the roof - was there any scaffolding around? Although the 2nd phase is finished and there would be no need for scaffolding near it - any ladders?. One of the reasons for us buying this property was that the stairs to the roof terrace were not accessible unless you were inside the property. Wonder if the same happened to anyone else. Really good idea about some kind of neighbourhood watch scheme. We will be having an alarm fitted and possibly some form of security lighting. Many thanks Jayne for letting us know.
Once the site is finished and as part of the community, we form a committee , this can be an issue to raise and possibly find a resolution - perhaps a police presence at certain times of the year. Don't want to appear demanding - but we will be paying towards the village and the community, and it should benefit everyone.
Anyway, here's hoping it does not happen again to anyone.
Cheers, Ellen

Hi Ellen
It is thought that they went up an end wall, then they have access to all the sun roofs just by hoping over the walls.
A gentleman in phase 2 also had a break in in daylight, they took his laptop and camera, although they were seen nobody questioned what they were doing.
Hope we manage to get together a good committee so we can all look out for each other.
Jayne

Hi Jayne,
How awful it must have felt for the other guy who was robbed. Yes, we all must get together, and like you say, look out for each other.
However, beside this nasty episode, I understand from a previous posting, that you really like the developement and village. Have a lovely time when you go - can't wait to see your pics.
Cheers, Ellen
