Hi  .. I am a newcomer to this forum and have just returned to the Uk after a visit to the village..Like others l have had concerns for some time over conflicting information from Palmera & Mirador.  l am probably not a lot wiser now .. Other than it is a fact that Palmera are taking Mirador to court ( presumably to try and cover up their lack of support ) to us the purchasers. It is at court now .. So what will happen then ???  There is a pool installed as photos show albeit small with no shallow end for children !! It is to service 90 houses as well as the entire village . It was verrified at the town hall that the pool is for the whole village not just our development . What concerns me the most is what will happen IF AND WHEN THE HABITATION / OCCUPANCY licence is issued and then inspected by a court. Should it be found (quite possible that the licence has been issued with a hint of darkness)What will happen to our investments . As already stated palmera are taking Mirador to court , are they really going to help us with any problems that are very probably going to occur Are any others joining with Palmera ( As their web site advises ) to take Mirador to court??? Also just why are Palmera taking Mirador to court ??? Is it to protect their interests or ours ???

Welcome to the forum FF.

I started this board to try and get more information since Palmera had no interest after they had pocketed their fees. As you will see if you trawl through the posts the way the development has been built and marketed has come as a shock to those british buyers unused to endemic corruption.  As I see it there are 2 groups taking legal action against Palmera/Mirador, CDSAG and Patricia’s clients.  Others like myself are waiting to establish what will happen when completion is offered by Mirador.

The pool is something of an enigma since the issues of who will pay for its upkeep and who will supply the necessary lifeguards if it is open to the public have yet to be addressed. What is clear is that the idea of it being available to the whole village when there is a large municipal pool just up the road just doesn't make sense.  if a serious injury occurs to a member of the public using the pool the consequences just don't bear thinking about.

As to your question, just why are Palmera taking Mirador to court ??? Is it to protect their interests or ours ???   you will probably be able to answer that one yourself!!!

Thankyou alphet.. So it does not seem as though completion is in the near future then ? Because l cant see that Palmera will still handle the completions (Even with the correct licences in place ) if they are sueing the builder .Surely it would be some kind of conflict of interest ? With us taking a back seat awaiting the outcome. Why is all this happening at this late stage ?Surely these problems have not arisen in the last few months . At no time have Palmera informed me to date of what the problems are. They just said look on our website for any news . Surely this is not acceptable, my property  along with everyone elses is long overdue any problems should have been rectified long age. I have now read numerous previous threads and am extremely anxious as to the outcome

Hi FF - Do you have your own solicitor?  If not I would strongly advise you to get one.  A lot of us are using Patricia.  Her contact details are in many previous threads.  Even if you only want her to do the paperwork to complete on the property and do not want to take any action I would get your own solicitor.
