I stayed over for a weekend in Zeniamar mid Jan and had a break in whilst there. They were only after cash as they left stuff like passports etc, they also nicked some of my sons branded clothes.

Is this sort of break in a regular thing, has anybody else had experience of this?

I would like to know how often (or not) this happens or if it is a real problem as I am considering buying there.

We are buying off plan in Fase 10. we've stayed in Zeniamar 10 times over the past 2 years and never had a problem. However, we spoke to lots of people and a few did mention breakins . However when we researched this a bit further it seemed that they had left sliding doors open on balconies or such like or had left the front door open while at the side. It seemed to be mostly opportunistic theft. I don't know if this was the case with you so no offence saying this. We have spoken with lots of people over the past 2 years who live there and they all had good things to say and said it was a very quiet, nice and respectable development with virtually no hassle. There was some dissent about the commercial centre but it appears to be very nice and finished very well. We got the perception that Zeniamar was more upmarket and more expensive that some of the other surrounding developments so had a certain oooh la la to it when we said where we were buying. How did you find it in January? Was it very quiet? We hope to close in September but are chomping at the bit to get back there! I think like everywhere nowadays you have to take care and not let your guard down and make it easy for thieves. If you have any photos of the development (Fase 10) in January post them up so we can follow the progress!! We have researched the area for the past 2 years to make what we hope is the right decision and feel that it is a good development. It is really well built and TM are very professional. The surrounding area seems to be getting a few bob thrown at it for redevelopment and there are lots more commercial centres and restaurants have opened in the last couple of years and there is talk of a possible marina just across from Lidl. We've seen nothing but improvements in that time and certainly they are properties that will hold their value for re-sale if necessary. Good luck if you choose to buy there.

Hi there  -  We have owned a duplex on Zeniamar 6 since Dec 04.   The developement is very nice - but it has had its share of break ins and oportunity theft - however it is of importance to take special care at the time of moving in - as there obviously has been people following this activity and using whatever oportunity arises.

Just back from a (very cold) week - and have postet 3 photos taken last week,  one from fase 10 and the two others from the play\tennis\ball area that has been made up very nicely over the last few weeks.

The commercial Center is finished - but noboby has moved in or starting on the interior yet -  so the easter deadlinge predicted may be a bit short.

Should you have any question or wish to see more pictures please feel free to direct mail me-
