We completed twelve months ago without the LFO. Granted, we do not have a mortgage but we do know of people buying with a mortgage that have completed and others that will complete in March this year without the LFO's being in place. Too much is being made of this so called problem. It all depends on who your lender is. Some do not regard it as a problem but others do.
We have friends living further South that waited three years for their LFO. Don't forget without the issue of these pieces of paper you are paying nothing for your utilities.
With regard to Solicitors we used Fuster and Associates in Los Alcazares and found them to be helpful and competent but like so many official bodies in Spain they need a 'kick up the buttt' from time to time.
We have had two lengthy stays in our place in the last twelve months and found the progress of the site to be about average speed. Helder and Fran, in the Taray After Sales Office, are extremely helpful with regard to snagging or other problems.
We have met several people during our visits, some resident others semi-resident, and have found them all to be friendly. Everybody hoping and trying to make the best of a new community. Cannot see it failing.
We relied heavily on this site in the months leading up to completion and everybody was in the same boat. Now, all those people have advise and information to offer, gained from their experiences. If you have a problem or a question post it on the site and I am sure many of us will respond.
Regards
Colin and Gill
