Hi,
I Sent the email below to the La Herrada community website to complain about the attitude of some of our presidents and requested thtathey publish it - they refused because I wished to remian anonymous!! Their reply was alos anonymous!!!
I explained that I feared reprisals after witnessing one of the presidnets shouting in the street!! So I dceide to register here and post it for all to see! I decdied not to insert their replies as it was quite rude!!
Could start a nice friendly dbeate and please feel free to be anonymous!!!
Hello,
Having recently moved to La Herrada and reading a lot of the minutes of the meetings posted on this website and what I have received there appears to be 2 fundamental problems with the committees and presidents.
I am sure all involved give 100% effort which in the main is greatly appreciated. The 2 main areas I wish to mention are:
1. The language and grammar in some of the minutes is so bad it is often very difficult to understand. It comes across as someone trying to write in legal terms but does not have any training or understanding (in short trying to be a smart ass) . It would be far better if these minutes were written in plain English easily understood by all!!
2. The presidents of all areas are coming across as dictators, judge and jury. They should be reminded that their role is to represent the community and the residents views, NOT police or bully them or force over their own opinions.
I read in one set of minutes that topless bathing is not allowed in the pool - I assume this means all of us (women, children, men etc.). If they wish to change it to prevent women then they may be subject to a complaint under the European sex discrimination guidelines. For information a case in point where women are now allowed to mow the lawn topless same as men!!
Some of the rumours I have heard talking to others really beggars belief and If true I cannot believe grown up adults can behave in such a spiteful childish and school playground manner. One particular point was the way one resident was treat during some work he had done on his property. I witnessed one president shouting the odds in the street - this was outrageous and that individual should have been deported!!!
One final comment we should all avoid using terms like "one rule for the Spanish and one for the rest of us" as it may be taken a avery racialist comment! We may not be in politically correct England but the same rules apply across the EU
La Herrada (and Spain) is a beautiful place to live but should not be spoilt by individuals strutting their stuff and trying to be important. Let's keep it nice and not try and replicate what we all left behind in the UK!!
Please, please publish this on your website - I bet you don't!! As a minimum please copy to every president, vice president and committee member
