I believe that there is a misunderstanding going on here. Happy Days are not changing their menu they have merely added a VERY VERY small curry menu to their exisiting menu. Yes when daisymil went in there they may have run out of chicken and steak but this is a stock control issue rather than a conscious decision to become an In Indian Restaurant; in Millie's current state, she cant even stand the smell of Fish & Chips and Beer let alone Curry!!!
I went in early evening last night and was one of two people who I saw eat off the curry menu and I can assure you that my plate was not sent back - Ok it was but it was empty!
The other problem that a new Indian Restaurant may have is the already successful one in Balsicas which caters very well for both the Brits and the Spanish, especially if you try and go there for a meal on a weekend and you haven't booked; a little tip for anyone coming out and trying the Indian in Balsicas without booking -- DON'T, you won't get in.
As far as the deeds are concerned, around 20 houses from Phase 1 were called to a meeting at the legal services office with Pilar earlier this week. we were given a copy of the Building Licence for each of our plots with a statement that the Notra Simple would be available within 1 month; my solicitor estimates 3 months but, hey ho, we seem to be on our way!
My solicitor believes that we could be ready for a Habitacion Licence by September; fingers crossed but something is definitely happening on Phase 1 and it seems to be positive.
The supermarket closed because they had advertised opening hours but never kept to them They started by saying they were opening all day, then they closed for a siesta between 2 pm and 4pm but unfortunately you could never guarantee when they would open and close and I think people just went for the certain option of Polaris or Quick Save, Sucina.
Current shops open are: Happy Days, Launderette, Mens and Ladies Hairdressers, Beauty Salon (I'm too far gone to use this one!!) , Solicitors and a Printing Shop. Others are planned including I believe a Ready Made Curtain Shop. There has also been a lot of visits from an Indian Gentleman in the last few days (he has a drink in Happy Days) looking at both the old Furniture Shop and the old Supermarket so I wouldn't rule the possibility of an Indian Restaurant still opening; now if we could only have a Chinese Takeaway....................
