Dear all,

I have spoken to my lawyer's office again by email and finally in person to a team member. Apparently my agent, Anbasun, have told them my property IS ready for completion, and all paperwork etc is in place, (ha, ha, what about the water supply?).

I asked for a copy of the certificate of FH to be faxed to me and was then told that OLE are now saying that this will be granted in the next four months/ish. I queried what contract might be in place to maintain the one functioning lift in the block and was told that there would not be a maintenance contract until the community of owners came together. Are we risking death using the lift??

Simon and I are out twice in November for the weekend if anyone wants to meet up with us. Tommy and Lyn , I know you are tyring to catch up with us to try to sort the water situation, please keep us posted.

Liz and Simon

Hi All again

Spoke to karen today for an update.

Somebody has completed on floor 2 (The same as us) and karen has been talking to them.

Our new neighbours have spoken to ramiro's daughter and she has definately organised another builder to finish the building site and pool.

We now have some sort of lighting in the communual areas and the lift is back working again.

Simon & Liz have a good trip.

Darren

Hi We havn't spoken before

We completed in April without any problems and were surprised when we found out nothing changed on site when we visited in October. We were very interested to read your comments and spoke to our lawers who say the builders have not gone bust so we are getting very conflicting information.

Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me if they are buying with a spanish mortgage? I have now been told by my solicitor that my bank (spanish) will not complete without the Certificate of First Habitation and that the builder applied for this in October 2005 and that the town hall is going to take 18 months to grant it. This would mean earliest completion for me would be next April. Has anyone else been told this or any advice please.

Cherry,

from what I understand, these licences don't normally take so long to be granted. Personally, I doubt that it has even been applied for, as it in involves the Town hall inspecting the place and saying that it's all ok, which we all know it isn't.

My take on all these delays is that there are "planning irregularities" at the root of the problem. I won't even consider completing until the LFO is granted, but I note with interest that your mortage depended on it, (as I plan to raise the balance the same way).

I hope it gets sorted out for the spring, but who knows.

Liz
