We have bought on this complex and complete in December 2008. We are going out in May to  see how things are progressing. Anyone else bought here?

Cheers

Hi

we have purchased an apartment on the same complex, all that we have had is problems from the developer-late completion date,no services connected(still) and little feed back.

But hopefully it will be worth it in the end, hope the hyatt hotel gets finished soon as this is spoiling the complex in the way of renting and or selling the property.

We have purchased a 2 bed in block D which to be honest is fantastic along with the views.

Trying to get out in May ourselves

Hi

I was beggining to think there was no one else out there. We just bought in March and are not due to complete until December. We are and are very impressed with the apartment . We looked at a few and this was by far the best and it was already built and not just off plan. The views are fantastic and surely having the hotel there will only increase the value. We were out last week and it's looking really nice as the grass and the plants are growing. But it is very dusty because of the work on the hotel and I mean very dusty!! The hotel has been delayed I think bercause the original company building it has been taken over and will not open until late 2009 so the place will be a building site until then.  We are going to use it for holidays as we love the area so we are not in a hurry to move in.

When we bought the electricity had not been connected but this time the lifts were working and the apartment had bulbs in it. So progress being made. As you go in the main door they have changed the wall that faces you. Originally it had square holes in the wall,  but after the heavy rains in March they have put glass bricks in the holes.  I think they were worried that water came in when the door was opened and that someone could slip, fall and sue them .  I  do hope the rest of the development goes ahead and that the shops etc will be built.

cheers

HI we own a property on the complex.

I was out there 4 weeks ago and Juan (the sales rep) tells me that the hotel has not got an owner at the moment, thee developers of our complex are trying to buy it.

He also mentioned that they are begining to tidy up the roads and roundabouts leading upto the site.

I have had nothing but problems with my air con has anybody else had any problems??

All in all i think once the hotel is completed and all the area brought upto spec, the complex will be absolutley fantastic.

Hiya Mark,

Trust you are well. I think we have spoken before! The only problem we have had in ours is the electricity. On arrival, we need a full 24hrs to get the geyser hot, which, because of the mass of power it uses doing this, trips both the aircon and the stove if we try to use them while heating the water.  Running the lights and telly is ok, but add the kettle, and bang! Once its hot and not drawing so much power everything else is fine. Apparantly to avoid this we would need to upgrade the power input, no doubt at some cost!

Agreed! Once the hotel is sorted and running and cleaned up, we will no doubt have made a good investment. It just takes time I guess. I am greatful we had the sense not to buy off plan, when we did. There are just too many unfinished development standing silent! I do feel for those owners.

If we do manage to get over in October as planned, i'll post an up date here.

Take care,

Ally

hi good morning !

my name is valerio ripamonti, i am italian and i am leaving in milano. with my wife daniela and my daughter elena, we have just purchased one apartment there at the residencial mirabella and we will be in estepona on september 18 to sign the buying deed to the notaris. our apartment is located into the block # 4, apartment "A", level 1. we have been in estepona playing golf at the Atalaya hotel and his relevant golf course both in 2008 and 2009. during our second visit there in march 2009, we have decided to buy a property into the region due to the good conditions existing on the market (recession !) and due also to our will to retire within the next 2 or 3 years and enjoy (some months per year) a nice location to play golf and take advantage of the beatifull sea, weather, food !

i hope to meet you in the future, have some nice talk with you and play some round of golf with you (if you will be patient with us due to our bad golf playing....)

we think to have closed a good deal & business buying this property and when te hotel wil be completed, i am sure the value of our properties will increase a lot. as may you know (you can see it on the internet) the evemarine group (past owner of the hyatt hotel in casares) have sold the premises to the group QHN of Doha, Qatar and i am confident they will finish soonest the remaining building operations.

hope to read you again. my best reards. valerio

Hi. As i have written on the previous post, I have been there during the last week end.

The building of the hotel is stopped for the moment being. I have been told by my lawyer (a local guy) that the builder (not the owner !) went in bankruptcy and the owners (the qatar company) is waiting for the decisions of the court to nominate and to appoint a new builder. I don't know if these informations are right or not. The fact is that nobody is working over there.

For the rest no problems. We have signed the deed of purchase and the people appointed by parquesol (the seler) told me that they have sold about the 60 - 65 % of the apartments.

We have seen very few apartments open and we have seen 4 people at the swimming pool.

no more, no less...  bye. valerio

Dear All

I am an owner at the Mirabella and have just returned from a weekend at the appartment. The weather was great (considering what we left in the UK). Complex still looks good but losing Juan will be an issue as we now have no direct point of contact with Parquesol.

We have one of the appartments that had a trellis across the lounge window as opposed to a Juliet balcony, on arrival this time it had gone, on ringing Parquesol they could give me no advice as to what had happened. I suspect it had blown down in th bad weather and been removed for safety purposes, but despite ringing Parquesol they could not tell me.

We, as everyone else are very disappointed about the Hotel or lack of it!!

I think as this was a major selling point to owners, Parquesol have some responsibility to keep us informed as to what is happening, it would seem to me that they have more chance of gatrhering information than any of the owners. The surrounding area is getting progressively worse with abandoned cars, rubbish and dead bushes.

I know it is winter but I made the observation in the summer that the gardens around the complex are looking extremely worn, due I suspect to not being watered sufficiently, the grass around the pool is dying  and becoming overgrown with weeds. All the hand rails and steps need staining, the rendering on a number of appartments is begining to crack, probably due to settlement but will need attention when the appartments are exterrnally painted.

Whilst as owners we have undoudtedly a responsibility to look after our own properties there are only certain things we can do without the permission of the community. I would encourage anyone who reads this note to email Parquesol and seek information on the hotel and also ask for plenty of notice for the next community meeting as we need as many people there as possible to add weight to our voices.

Best wishes to all apologies for the rant but I feel really strongly about protecting our investment for the future

Garry
