Hi William,
I am unsure why there seems to be unrest across both balcones and mirador developments.
My understanding is as follows:
We buy the apartments 'pre aircon', which to my knowledge means all ducting and vents are installed in the apartment. To actually have aircon you need to pay between 2000-3000 euros to buy and install the unit.
I'm no expert on aircon as I'm from the north of England, were this type of cooling / heating is never used. However, Rudina have put some rates/systems on eye on spain, which state that if you have an apartment - 1,2,3 bed then the one unit will suffice. If you have a house then there is a requirement to to use smaller units per room or per living space.
So if you have an apartment then I think that you will need one unit on your outside wall, which will draw in outside air, filter then cool (or warm in the winter)the air and distribute cool air through the ducts / vents into all your rooms.
You do have an option not to purchase aircon, therefore the ducts/vents will stay dormant.
I know that a lot of people are showing concerns on were aircon units are to be placed and how much noise they will generate, however these apartments are in Andalucia, and there will be a need for fresh cold air, therefore these units are commonplace throughout the area.
hope this helps
cheers
