Dear co-occupiers,

An early question…

On the Balcones forum is the question, How to install airconditiong ?, the conversation of the day.

I noticed on location that an air-con outdoor unit can be fitted to the outside wall of each apartment..

I would like using air co on each room of the apartment.

My question is: Do we need 1 or 3 outdoor units and 3 indoor units or a 3 way multi split, what means

1 outdoor unit and 3 indoor units ?

Even I spotted in the living room, ventilate gratings, probably for moving air. But where is the air
coming from ?

Is the airco here integrated, or for what use are the ventilate gratings?

Does someone have any information about the possibilities, the  pre installation and installation
requirements.

I will present this question also to my solicitor on short notice.

Regards,

William.....Mirador 33

Hi William,

I am unsure why there seems to be unrest across both balcones and mirador developments.

My understanding is as follows:

We buy the apartments 'pre aircon', which to my knowledge means all ducting and vents are installed in the apartment. To actually have aircon you need to pay between 2000-3000 euros to buy and install the unit.

I'm no expert on aircon as I'm from the north of England, were this type of cooling / heating is never used. However, Rudina have put some rates/systems on eye on spain, which state that if you have an apartment - 1,2,3 bed then the one unit will suffice. If you have a house then there is a requirement to to use smaller units per room or per living space.

So if you have an apartment then I think that you will need one unit on your outside wall, which will draw in outside air, filter then cool (or warm in the winter)the air and distribute cool air through the ducts / vents into all your rooms.

You do have an option not to purchase aircon, therefore the ducts/vents will stay dormant.

I know that a lot of people are  showing concerns on were aircon units are to be placed and how much noise they will generate, however these apartments are in Andalucia, and there will be a need for fresh cold air, therefore these units are commonplace throughout the area.

hope this helps

cheers

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your quick response and your willingness to give me this useful information.

It has become me clear, however, clear concerning the functioning of the required aircon system.

At that time I will ask an installation company for the correct system.

Hi William,

just looked at a post you made on balconnes about photo's for the new hillside road and mirador.

If you are in the area, please could you take some mirador photo's and put them on the mirador web page?

many thanks,

Dave 41

Hi Dave,

I have just asked in a mail -conversation with Eli, or it’s in her possibility to make any photographs of the

Mirador complex and the road uphill.

In July I’m going for a visit to the Costa Blanca, perhaps I drive to the complex for a short visit to look how

the construction work is progressing.

I let you know…..

Cheers,

William (33)
