Hi,
This is an update on travelling home through the airport at Malaga 17th March leaving from gate C37.
The travelators are in use at last, when arriving by train. It is still the walk up the zigzag bridge over the road. But then take the travelator. If you have to book in at Terminal 2 take the directions to T2. But if you are travelling from Terminal 2 without luggage (and already checked in) stay on the travelator to T3. The security checks for T2 have been moved to T3. It will save a very long walk.
And add some time, the shops appear to be mainly in the T3 booking in hall, open to all. But dont dawdle too long. Security was efficient but it looked like it could be a bottleneck at times. Our Ryanair flight was announced as boarding whilst going through security. And this was 1 hour 10 minutes before takeoff time!! Then we were in a queue for 20 minutes at passport control. And this was Wednesday late evening with only a couple of flights leaving. We caught our flight but the stress level was a little higher than normal and the 1 hour 20 minutes we were at the airport was all used up without a chance to go to any shop or toilet.
The days of arriving just in time at the airport are now a distant memory, back to 2 hours for us.
Happy flying Mac
