Before moving to Spain I lived in Driffield, East Yorkshire, but hasten to add, I'm a Tinsley lad from Sheffiled South Yorkshire.
Since making my home here in Calpe and doing my weekly shopping at my favourite supermarket, I couldn't help but notice the scarecity of buggies and prams in the store, in fact I can't ever recall seeing either! Which brings me nicely to the notice pinned to the entrance door to my then local supermarket in Driffield. BUGGIES AND/OR BABY CARRIAGES MUST BE PARKED OUTSIDE THE STORE. by order of the Management. I suppose the idea being, was to cut down on pilfering, which is rife in some areas of the British Isles. It wasn't until Brenda and her husband David were nearly home from shopping when she blurted out, "David, this is not our baby" "I know, I kow" he said, "but its a better looking pram than the one we had."
Have a nice day.....
