OK, it's not often I can make life easier for people but here a little gem for everyone...
Out here in the wilds we get plagued with all kinds of ickies from Roaches to flying ants but just lately we've had a mini invasion of tiny tiny little ant like creatures (but much smaller than ants) that seem to congregate around any sugar source, be it the odd scrap of dog food so carefully transferred from the bowl to the living room floor or the odd grain of sugar on the kitchen floor.
Most antkillers are not pet friendly and stink to high heaven and I am loathe to use them in the house, and outdoors I use boiling water.
FEBREZE.Fabric Deodoriser!...works like a charm...just spray the affected area and bingo... instant extermination of the little critters, just mop up with kitchen roll and because its not left hanging around like antkiller powder it's pet safe. (For those who may have heard otherwise see this link...)
We also use it for cleaning our tiled floor in the event of any doggy accidents; it cleans and deodorises at the same time so no residual pong!
Don't know if it works with all of the varieties of Febreze; we use the Antibacterial one with the Orange cap and trigger.
Febreze is sold at Carrefour in the washing powder fabric conditioner areas.
