Rio Seco walk - Pinar de Camopoverde
The Comments |
Hi - can anybody advise - would I need trainers to walk along Rio Seco in Pinar do Campoverde or would sandles be OK - I cant tell from the photos I've seen quite what the terrain is like. Trainers will take up a lot of my 15kg with Ryan Air on Saturday so I am hoping I can get away with sandles as usual when I come ovder - regards - Liz

Hi Liz
Why not travel in your trainers ? Most decent walks require more than sandals

Hi Liz
We have done the rio seco walk as a group. Although I personally would not recommend the use of anything less than a good pair of trainers, there were some people who walked with sandals and even flimsy flat shoes. those people did not have a problem apart from the odd blister or two. The route is mainly flat except for the climb up and over where the canal crosses, and if you are doing the full length, there are the slippery rocks to contend with. For safety and comfort the trainers are therefore better.
