A weeks holiday, but destination needed

Hi all
I have a weeks holiday coming up in late September but I looking for more than the usual break. Often I see pictures of azure seas, with viberant colours of tradiional houses and hear tales of mouth-watering culinary traditions. Where are these places, do they actually exist ?
A game of golf ,well maybe. Great restaraunts nearby - yes please. Where vistas can be marvelled at within a short drive and uncrowded breches with easy access can be enjoyed and yet a taxi rde will take you to enjoy the delights of the night. if required.
Perhaps I dream too much.

Raff, you've been watching too much TV!!!!
HOWEVER, you are pretty much describing the area that we live in, Manilva. We are five mins from the nice uncrowded beaches, 10 minutes from the lovely mountains behind us, there are golf courses around and some great places to eat if you know where to go.
Maybe you've been dreaming on Manilva all this time....
