Enjoying the food in Spain
The Comments |
How I miss Spanish food! It is always so fresh and seems so much more wholesome than food in the UK! The markets are brilliant, and when it comes to eating out, nothing can beat the lunchtime 'menu del dia'!
What is everyone's favourite Spanish food? Mine has to be the classic Tortilla de patatas. Although it is easy to make at home, it never tastes as good as when it's eaten in Spain!

Nothing can beat a tasty Paella with loads of fresh seafood and chicken! Accompanied by a tradditional Rioja-heaven!
Something everyone should try!

The best kind of food is free stuff - we still get lovely tasty free tapas with every drink in Granada province - our beautiful village is Otivar, inland from Almunecar. All kinds of seafood and meat dishes are given free, and as the locals in our village give us all sorts of produce free (including home made wine) it's very cheap for us on our visits there. Can't wait til our next visit (this Saturday) - there's a pilgrimage to the local shrine on Sunday and everyone has free wine and paella (one of those giant communal ones) mmmmmmmmmm
