PAINT SHOP WITH GOOD SELECTION
The Comments |
Hi
I am looking to modernise the inside colour of our new bungalow and was wondering if anyone could
point me in the right direction for a good paint shop. I know it's highly unlikely we will be able to get hold
of the many great colours such as Dulux provide but any help would be most appreciated.
many thanks Chris and Paul Birkett
PS. apologies if this question has been asked before!

Hi Paul - it would probably help if you gave your location - Spain is a big country!!
Having said that, I think your best bet would be to go to the biggest Brico in your area and see what they have there. There isn't the range you would see in the UK but the bigger stores do have a fair bit of choice.

There used to be a Dulux shop in Fuengirola on the Ctra Fuengirola-Coin road before the La Vega roundabout but it closed.
But Pintura Andalucia will mix any colour for you and there's plenty of those around.
There is a UK providers down towards Elviria I think called AIM British Building Supplies - they advertise in all the free rags.
Sometimes the difficulty is tring to find comparable products to UK but they do exist or else the Spanish have a different way of doing things. It's a good way to improve your Spanish asking how they do things etc .....
Shops like Leroy Merlin/Akai/Bauhaus have a good selection of all paints and effect paints etc but a word of warning if the wife takes a liking to these effect paints. In the shop they demonstrate on white paper and most Spanish properties have that rough effect wall so it doesn't work quite as easy - of course you could smoothen your walls!
Of course all this is only relevant to Fuengirola area.
Good luck!

Very sorry to all I meant to include that we live in Los Alcazares, Murcia
so any where in that region would be fine.
thanks Paul Birkett

Hi Paul
From Los Alcazares take A7 motorway heading south towards Cartagena, can't remember the exit No. but can't miss it on right hand of motorway as you are approaching Cartagena. (Look for large billboards advertizing Toy r us, El Cortez de Ingles etc.}.
Absolutely everything up there!
