Hunting laws?
The Comments |
Hi all,
Our cat was shot the other night with an air gun, she should servive.
I've found on the web that it is ilegal to shoot any living animal with an air gun (in spain) I thought that it was ilegal to shoot after sun down. Can anyone confirm this please?
Regards, Febe

Hope your cat is better now?
We all need to get a definitive answer on the laws concerning hunting.
Although there are slight variations locally, I honestly believe a large percentage of hunters flout the law - they bargain on non Spaniards not complaining and also many of them can't actually read the laws they are meant to abide by
Too many stories of pets being killed by hunters for it to be an accident every time - one of my neighbours was actually shot whilst on her property.....she persued it with the police, but the hunters claimed a gypsy had wandered onto the land......
Funny that.

Hi Val,
Yes our cats doing very well. The pellet entered the left hand side of her nose just below her eye. It grazed the roof of her mouth and came to rest below and behind her left ear, just under the skin.
One very lucky, though little cat.
I'm quite sure this was not a local hunter. I'll say no more on that.
Just wondered what the laws are.
Take care, regards.
Febe
