I noticed on the last newsletter The STM group giving out scaremongering info on the QROPS scheme through NewZealand. This is not true. The QROPS (Qualifing Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme) scheme is an HMRC approved scheme.
My husband works in this industry and what has actually happened is that recently there has been an investigation team set up to combat any abuse of the QROPS scheme. So anyone who wants to release thier pension using New Zealand (it has more tax benifits than using Isle or Man or Guernesy etc) to release thier pensions can still do so when they want, as long as it is with a good company.
