Driving to Spain with a dog
The Comments |
As anyone travelled to and from Spain with there dog, I am thinking of driving out this year sometime and would like to take a few days to get to almoradi. Is there any pet hotels, vineyards on route which would consider a dog staying overnight.any suggestion would be appreciated. Gooders

All French hotel chains accept dogs. ACCOR IBIS etc. There is usually a charge. In recent years Spanish owned hotels have become more understanding too.

You will find this site really informative on this and many subjects as it has been very cleverly set up to make it possible to read away back from 2007 (I have just checked) and although it takes some time it is worth searching eg. top right hand corner 'driving with dogs to Spain'
We have driven a lot and used Etap Hotels and the Tunnel with 2 dogs and are allowed 1 dog per room. Interestingly for the Tunnel, dogs were charged when the children were not! The DEFRA site is good for guidance.
Best wishes on your planning.
