Hi Ms S,
I am British 72, my wife is Filipina aged 40. We marred 6 years ago and my wife moved to Spain. I notified the Overseas Pensions Branch of the National Health in Newcastle and they started paying me about £50 p.w. allowance for my wife as she does not work. It is increased each year along with my OAP.
As I qualified for free health cover, when I first came to Spain I contacted the National Health Dept in UK and told them I was moving to Spain. They sent me a form 121 (It may have changed now that was 25 years ago) and I was immediately allowed to register for free National Health in Spain. When I married. The Nat Health in UK sent another 121 which said my wife was entitled to free cover. She registered here. No problem.
Christmas Bonus, is a £10 payment which the UK pay at Christmas Time to OAPs as a gift. It may stop at anytime.
If your husband get heating allowance in the UK that will continue when he comes to Spain. (I was not getting it when I left UK so I don’t get it now).
Hope this helps you. All the best John
Just an addition.
When I die my wife will loose her allowance and health cover. I..e widows pension no longer exixts.
