Hi

I have purchased a vodafone sharing dock combined with a 3G USB stick which provides a local wireless internet connection in our apartment in Spain.  It works great but its a real pain going to the local vodafone shop to get a top up.  I think you can top up online over the internet but it looks to me this gives you 5,10 or 20 euros of calls and SMS on the number you proivide rather than a broadband download capacity of so many MB over a period of time.

All help gratfully received.

Steve

Sorry I meant Top-Up and not To pup !!!!!

I think you have to go into the Vodafone shop in Estepona.

I bought the dongle which gave an initial 3 month service and 1 GB of combined upload & download

But now the VF people in estepona confirmed that I have to top up at the shop

Not sure if you just need the number.or you need to bring dongle

I  Month access 100 MB data for about 11 euro.

PS:  In your case you might have to bring the dog for a top up:)

Steve, we had one of these before (but as it kept connecting to Gibtel and Maroc Tel and cost us hundreds of euros, we cancelled it!).  (Not in DV by the way, but in Bahia las Rocas where there are no phone lines).

It was a pay as you go for €50 a month (when it didn't decide to roam and was the best option at the time) but we took it to the local shop in Sabinillas (near Barclays) to top up.  There is a way you can do it yourself, with a mobile and the code to input - which you can get from the vodafone shop or booklet.

Edited to say:  Sorry - just remembered it was our contract dongle that managed to roam all on its own, not the monthly payg.
