Hi to all our legal experts,
I have just been sent an article regarding a property dispute in Turkey, whereby a Manchester law firm has recovered £1.7m from a UK businessman, who was a property developer in Turkey.
The lawyers state that they were able to pursue the case in the UK Courts as the Contracts had been signed in the UK which fell under European Law. The case only took two years and the businessman was sued at the London High Court.
Can anyone shed any light on this, as I would imagine lots of contracts were signed for Spanish property, in the UK ?
Cheers
