landlines adsl internet access 24/7

 hi all,

anybody know of any good deals for phone internet access at home.

am moving house and can start from scratch. currently with vodafone, but not a great deal have a mobile and a dongle at moment.

Movistar aka telefonica own the entire landline infrastructure out here. All other landline suppliers lease space and bandwidth from Movistar. Beware of wildly exaggerated speeds from any supplier. Best you can reasonably hope for in 80% of the country is a 6Mbps/640Kbps service.

A word of warning... do not be tempted to approach telefonicainenglish... they will charge you over 130Euros merely to place an order for the service. Movistar have English speaking operatiors on freefone tel. no. 1004

You will need to provide a valid passport number, NIE number, and the address at which thee service is required.

As Foxbat says,  telefonicainenglish... is a privare company, not a part of Moviestar / Telefonica.

A problem with Moveistar / Telefonica  was (maybe still is) that although one can sign up with English assistance when you have a problem be prepared to speak Spanish.
