i cant give you a link or a definate answer
but they need a fence, a toilet, first aid kit and if they are a certain size they need a lifeguard from my tiny bit knowledge that can not be used in court or pretty much in life.
but its the only reply so far so its the best one

If you put Swimming Pool Rules in the search box, you'll come up with quite a few threads including the regulations in different regions. (I'd put a link in but I'm on my phone and haven't worked out how....duh)

The rules vary according to several factors, including the surface area of the pool, which affects if or how many lifeguards must be present.
I would think that asking your Administration would be the best way to know how the law affects your particular pool. Otherwise, you may get a number of apparently conflicting replies, i.e. the rules that apply to their particular pool. Normally one would not be interested in rules which do not affect their pool, thus some posters may not realise there are variations.
Of course there will also be those who know 'all there is to know.'

But Derek, as I suggested, it would be best to contact the administration as things may have changed (as cautioned by the web page)
