Energy Survey required for any property sold after June 2013

Hello,
I heard that an Enregy Survey is required as part of any property sale offered in the Spanish market after June 2013.
(maybe it is only a Valencian thingie...)
Could anybody confirm hearing such thing, and if so, please add a link to the regulation of this.

You require an energy performance certificate, same as in UK. Go down to the property management board on here where it was recently discussed under EPC comes to Spain.

The royal decree which is real decreto 235/2013 was passed on the 5th April 2013 making this law. All owners with properties for sale in Spain need to have applied for their certificate by the 1st June 2013. There are simply not enough assessors to make sure that each proerty for sale has its certificate by 1st June 2013 so we are registering people who have applied for their certificate to make sure that thet are covered.
