Hi, we hope you can help us.

We plan to move to the Costa Blanca in September. Were a middle aged couple and are looking for an apartment for longterm rent in a residential area. Don't want to be on the coast but dont want to be isolated either.

Would like shops, bars, medical center and within 30/40 minutes of Alicante/Murcia airport. We have tried several agencies but so far have had no luck, every time we find something we like they tell us its gone but it stays on their website days later ?

We dont have a big budget, 300 -  350  euros a month but were keeping our fingers crossed and hope someone out there can help.

Algorfa sounds about right, small village with shops  bars and  restaurants . Plenty of apartments in the village and local urbs i.e  la finca golf  Montemar   About 20 mins from the beach 40 mins to Alicante and Murcia airports. They say you can do it in 30 mins, but that's in a bad mood

Sound like an estate agent don't I but I'm not, just find the place very nice  Spanish mostly but there are two British bars in the village.

 Most of the apartments are well within your budget.

 Hope you find the right place because the life over here  is good if you don't need to work

A bit off topic casperruby but have you checked facebook - there's a community page which includes Alcalá la Real, search for Granada/Jaén Community.  People regularly post ads as well as wanteds.
