Transparency Period

Hi . I have been browsing property for sale sites and have come accross a phrase "property is in Transparency Phase"

Can anyone tell me what this means

Hi Dave,

I havn't seen the expression myself, but I imagine/guess it's intended as a "comfort" to offset a lot of the largely true horror stories that surround buying in Spain.  Perhaps it's supposed to be a bit like the "discovery period" in legal cases when the conflicting parties are required to exchange copies of the documents etc that they will be relying on in court.

I would also love to know what the "Transparency Phase" means in practice - it would be a complete reversal of the current situation where you are best to assume that you have not seen all of the relevant paperwork and cannot trust anyone, not even your own solicitor.

Maybe it is that anyone can (should be able) to see through the sales jargon that now is the time to buy !!!!
