Flights to San Javier
The Comments |
Does anyone know why Ryanair flights from East Mids and Birmingham have been switched to early mornings, after previously always been afternoons/evenings? This is only a recent switch as friends of ours had booked some weeks ago on the basis of the usual times, and have now had an email informing them of the change.
Thought that the airport was used by the Military in the mornings.
Tried contacting Ryanair but was told they didn't have the "exact information" for the change.

It seems that the Military are still using the runway on the inland side of the terminal building in the morning. We have just picked up friends from also a changed flight time from Bournemouth. Not many of the other Ryanair flights remain the same as they have been for many years.
There is a considerable increase in prices now to the UK. When we first travelled there were flights sometimes that cost a pence or just the tax had to be paid! Other areas of Europe seem to benefit more now with reduced fares. Those of us who still have property in Spain have no choice but to pay up.
Murcia tourism has also suffered from loss of many Winter flights in the past few years.

During winter months on the route from Bristol to Alicante on Easyjet the times have been quite early like 7 something, unacceptable to us. One day weekly on a Wednesday the flight time is 10:20am. That's the one we go on. We just need to accept this.

Looks as if Willie Walsh is set to compete with Michael O Leary on Dublin to Murcia flights in 2016

That's good news. I for one am fed up with O'Leary's tantrums's following his failure to bully the Spanish. The market is certainly large enough and both EasyJet and RyanAir have been steadily increasing their prices.
I recently looked at the BA website for next year's flights to Spain and was surprised at the BA deals. I struggled with my Maths O Level so I'm unlikely to understand algorhythms, but found their pricing really weird. The prices change dramatically from day to day and also with the duration of your stay, dunno why, but you can get some cracking deals if you can be flexible with your dates. Certainly worth a look.
