I have a half share in an apartment but I am no longer using it. My brother owns the other half and is offering to buy me out.
I am not sure how this would all work - is it just a simple matter of changing the names on the deeds and what is the position with regard to capital gains tax, plus valia,etc?
He would pay me in pounds here in the uk to avoid exchange rate charges - would that work? What would we tell the notaio?
The apartment is worth a lot less than it was when we bought 10 years ago.
