sublet property
The Comments |
Hi everybody,
Me and my friend are thinking about subletting an apartment in Valencia. I did already some research and the spanish law doesn't forbid subletting property as long as the rent is not more then u actually pay as subletters. But now I have a question, If you sublet an apartment , is it still the owner/ landlord who has to pay to taxes (24 percent) on the gross profit of the hire of the apartment or is us who are subletting the rooms of the apartment who have to pay taxes on the gross profit of the hire of the rooms. Or do we both have to pay or taxes?
Thanks for helping me out!

Before you sub let, I would suggest you read the contract you have.
When my son was letting, the contract which I believe was of 'standard' which we got from an estate agent, stated no sub letting, and also restricted the number of people who were allowed to live in the apartment.
