For several years I have been completing the 210´s (imputed tax) for my son and his wife who own a couple of holiday properties in Spain.
This year I have found there is no bar code on the form..
Can anyone tell me if that is correct, and if so, what they did so that they could submit the form to a bank ?
Many thanks

It is an economy cut back. You now need to include your tax reference number.

Thanks for that but I do not think, as non residents, my son and his wife, both of whom of course have NIEs, have spanish tax reference numbers. I wlll check their paperwork when I get home, but on the meanwhile, does one know if they are likely to have ?

NIE (Numero de Identificacion de Extranjero)
This is the tax ID for foreigners and non-citizens, including non-residents with Spanish property or carrying out legal or financial transactions in Spain. The NIE consists of a letter, followed by 7 digits, followed by another letter.
Always used the NIE as a tax reference number for every official form. Hubby was told he needed a CIF (Certificado de Identificacion Fiscal) only if he was going to set up a registered company in Spain.

Hello John
A bit of a long shot, but have you thought of asking the tax office or your bank?
