Do homemade DVD's work in Spain?

Hi - I want to make a DVD in Northern Ireland to send to my friend in Spain. It will be recorded from a PC and burned using Aimersoft. When the DVD is ready, it will obviously work in the UK but will this also work on my friend's DVD player/Playstation in Spain when I send it to him? Thanks

Should do if you have a region free or region 2 writer. I always used to find DVD-R worked better across platforms. Just remember to finalise it (or whatever it's called now) to make it playable on systems other than the one that created it. May be easier to stick it on a pen drive though?
