You'll find loads of info on Eye on Spain! Have you bought on a development and checked whether there is a forum here for it? Go to the home page and check under "development forums" if it applies to you and you may meet others who have bought in the same place.

Hi everyone - just thought I would introduce myself too - what Gary meant to say is... Hi we are Gary & Ginty Varley and we have bought a property in Formentera del Segura! We bought it off plan and got the keys last Feb... but we have only just found EOS!

We completed on our purchase 2 weeks ago & spent a few days last week sorting it all out.

Hello!
No it's not a secret! We are on Avenida Comunidad Valenciana. Does anyone know anything about the developments by the Manos Bar/ Liffey Irish Bar. There is a supermarket going in at some point but what else? We have heard a rumour that a Tapas bar is going in soon...

When were you last over? There are two tapas bars at the end of the road already and the supermarket's open. There is no more room for any further shops along that stretch. Timanfaya is the name of the second tapas bar. It's run by a nice local Spanish couple.
You need to check out the forums for Mar Y Sol and Brisas del Mar as I think you must be buying in one of them.
Two newish bar/restaurants have also opened fairly recently on the main Formentera road (in the village).
We're in Mar Y Sol, so we are close neighbours.

Thanks for the info! We were last over in August and we will be back at Easter 2008 - a lot seems to have happend in a short space of time. Do you know Tony and Kati Pepper? They live over there now and look after our place for us.

Just click on Forums above. Then choose Off Plan Developments then Add a New Development & finally Mar y Sol.
That will get you registered fro your development, which I highly recommend as we have mad so many contacts both prior to & after completion.

If you've found the Mar Y Sol forum, you'll know all about all the developments that have taken place; new restaurants, the supermarket and the business with the blessed administrators.
Still mostly it's good stuff. Doubtless we'll meet face to face one day.
