Data Protection
The Comments |
Hello I wonder if Maria can help, I have 2 questions, first - is their a Data Protection Act (or similar) in place in Spain.
Secondly when serving a Burofax to a company to retrieve your deposit when the builder has broken the contract, can the builder simply not accept it, have it sent back to the post office or even pretend their is no one available to receive it?
Confused

Dear RangSG:
Yes, there is a Personal Data Protection Act in Spain : http://noticias.juridicas.com/base_datos/Admin/lo15-1999.html
Regarding burofaxes, yes, they can, but if you sent it to the right address, just take it for notified.
Best,
Maria

Here is more info about the Spanish Data Protection Act: http://www.eucompliance.com/marcos/df_box_es.html
There is also a Directive regarding Data Protection at european level.
Please feel free to post here any question regarding this important Act.
Maria is right, if it is the right address it should be taken for notified, however and as you said sometimes it can be pretended that there is no one available to receive it!
Regards,
Lucy
