Sotogrande is a very well developed area in Cadiz province ( my province), 20 mins from where I live. Not a bad place. It belongs to the municipality of San Roque.
I personally do not like the style of those places in Spain, with lots of hiper-wealthy people around but the huge average of spaniards would love for sure to have a estate there. To see and be seen.....

Thanks mariadecastro.... Are there any nice villages or towns near to Sotogrande which would be cheaper to rent but not to far to commute with local amenities and schools? Thanks, Kate

Barbésula is another name for a public school in San Enrique de Guadiaro.
We are starting a service for schooling help in Spain. If you need us, just let us know.
Best wishes,

Hi Kate,
Another close area to Sotogrande is Duquesa area. A know families, english, and Irish that they have established here as the prices are better that in Sotogrande. You can find local spanish schools in the Manilva area and the Internatial school of Sotogrande is still very close. Let me know if you need anymore help as I am a local. Good luck!!
