Hi All
Been reading for a while and decided to take the plunge. Considering the Mazzarron area for a purchase. Been out to camposol in Jan 08 and visiting again in May and August. Read lots of confusing stuff about camposol since Jan visit, what are the real issues? Can anyone out there be specific?
Cheers

Hi
We have just bought a place in Rojales its not near you but just like to tell you we are glad we took the plunge, we travelled all over including to mazzarron for a look too thought it looked nice. we found resale properties to be better value and abit safer in the knowledge that its actually built and all paper work is in place. We found buying off plan to be a bad experiance if thats what your thinking im not saying its the same every where but it was for us we put our deposit down and 2yrs later they still hadnt started the footings. so when we finally got our money back (which we didnt think we would) we bought a resale in Rojales and we got all the furniture included and we got it for a great price as the market has slowed right down in Spain too so its a buyers market.
We were told not to expect to make any profit on our property for 2 - 3 yrs but we werent bothered as we didnt buy for profit.
So we hope you are lucky like us and find your dream home and enjoy it for many years to come

ps we could recommend our lawyer he was brill if you need one.

Good to hear that Kim&Tim. We are planning to buy a resale in 2/3 months. Hoping to find something on the edge of an urb with a bit of social life. Currently El Raso, Dona Pepe and Lo Pepin are favourites but we are keeping an open mind.

Hi
Not heard of El Raso but are the other two near us? if so can recommend the area but thats quite up from Mazzarron, are you going through an company or on your own? we first went with a couple who showed us the area and then we went round local estate agents but we sort of fell upon our house because we went to look at a property with a local estate agent and we really liked the house so we decided to go have another look on our own at night (obviously we couldnt look inside) but we sat and took in the area etc when a man knocked on our car door. He asked us if we had just been in the house and we said no but we had been to look at it earlier we explained that we really liked it and were thinking of buying and asked him about the area he invited us into his house just across the road and he told us that he knew of a 3 bed house coming up that we might get for the same price. Anyway to cut a long story short we bought a three bed det house for 10,000 euro less than a two bed and made good friends in the process, so all i can advise is dont be afraid to talk to people on the estates that you like, they might know someone with a property for sale who doesnt want to go through an estate agent as they can cost a lot ot money and be really cheeky in what you offer its a buyers market and they can only say no.
Anyway i'll stop gassing now so good luck with your search
Kim & Tim

Our first purchase was a resale in Pueblo Bravo near Dona Pepa etc. and we loved it as a holiday home but after a while felt moe adventurous and bought a plot of land Near Mazarron to build our own place. Was very difficult but met up with Gillespie , an estate agent regular on this site and he was a Godsend bless him. W e love the Mazarron area and will not move until we are too old to manage the garden and pool etc.The infastructure here is very good nowadays and new airport soon. Don´t make the mistake of thinking that Camposol is the only place in the area.

Hi K&T- all 3 Urbs are on the opposite side of Quesada to Rojales, still not to far away though. I think we will play safe and go through an agent, most probably Georgia if he can find something to please my wife
We would prefer to pay a bit more and have someone to guide us through the process.
Ayrez- so that's where Pueblo Bravo is, sounds like it is in the area we are looking at.
