How long to switch on the services ?

We have an apartment in Velez de Benaudalla which we need to furnish soon and would be grateful for any advice on the forum. The furniture packs seem expensive and wonder where the nearest Ikeas/DFS' or similar are situated in this region. Any help much appreciated.

Hi Kate
Don't know where your apartment is located but there are IKEA shops in both Seville and Malaga. We found the furniture shops either really expensive (eg Imperial) or middle of the road and offering similar styles (eg leather heavy sofas) and prices.
We went middle of the road shop for the main items as neither of us are getting any younger and didn't fancy humping beds etc around. But we're still waiting on delivery of our sofa since beginning of December. Item not available in January. Wouldn't go through the door in March! Trying again in a couple of weeks. Actually grateful that we didn't go down the IKEA route on that one as we would have been responsible ourselves.
Used IKEA for smaller items. You either love it or hate it!! I love OH hates. If you do decide to use IKEA and your Spanish isn't up to speed I suggest you take an English catalogue as it makes life easier and they're identical items.
HAVE FUN!
