Roberto,
My comment was on behalf of the local farmers really,i live in the Vega Baja or Huerta de Europa which means thousands of fruit tress, these guys need the rain to fill the reservoirs to keep their industry alive.
Torremendo reservoir, which supplies water for the people is full so that not a problem.
As to your answer of why we destroy our own enviroment??....well i guess it's because we can unfortunately........
Nice and sunny today here..........hope you have the good weather there......

We experienced the October flooding on the Northern Costa Blanca last year, we had just lost the wife's car a few months earlier in the Sheffield floods, we started to wonder if it was something to do with us.

Where we intend to buy is high lying but we never imagined that the hillside road leading to the coast road could become a raging torrent. We saw cars almost completely submerged, swimming pools flooded with dirty water and a lot of property damage. However we also saw the parts that were totally unaffected by the flooding and have set our sights on a property in a safe area, these are where drives incline to a property.

I am sorry to hear of the current flooding problems but without first hand knowledge of last years flooding we wouldn't have given such a thing a second thought.
