The first time we went we got lost. I went with my friend recently and if I can drive there anyone can do it!
There is one road eventually into Murcia city. There is a BIG sign en route advertising Ikea that tells you the number to exit plus a letter after it. Can't remember either. However, here is the easy bit. Wait until you see the sign for the Universadad and keep in the inside lane. Take the next road off but one. Ikea is off the road which has a letter after the number. Before you exit you see the large sign Ikea over on your right high up.
When you are off the motorway just follow the signs and it is not difficult.

Thanks Dave, I would've needed to look for the directions but now I know.
Yet another note to add to my collection to take next month.
BTW semi, I was looking through the IKEA Family books online & not one showed that case. How odd. One showed a larger case £40.

I'm trying to remember when I bought it, I think it was just before our Easter trip.
I'm not a regular Ikea shopper and only went there to get this case. Perhaps they've decided to expand the range to now include a larger suitcase. Does it fold flat for storage? The one I have wouldn't stand up to being put into the hold but is definately ok as hand luggage.
Enjoy your trip to Ikea in Spain, we're thinking about getting a coffee table as well but I probably won't be able to pry Chris away from the golf course

Current & previous three Ikea "family" brochures HERE
References to the Ikea family travel range in HERE pages 70/71 in current family brochure.
However, it doesn't show range, sadly.

Hola everyone!
I think it might have been me that first posted information about the folding wheeled case that is perfect as hand luggage from Ikea. I bought mine back at the beginning of February and have taken it back and forth to Spain numerous times. It is still going strong! I do love a bargain!
It is not in the catalogue, or on the website, and therefore this probably means it wont necessarily be a permanently stocked item, or even something that you can buy in all Ikea stores.
Our nearest store is Lakeside, Essex. When I was last there, just over a week ago, they still had some. They were with the other 'Family' items, by the restaurant just before you go into the 'market hall'.
No weight restriction for hand luggage with Easyjet (within reason - they say) just check weight with Ryanair - no more than 10kg.
Best wishes
Mooma
PS. This site is great - and it just gets better and better! Thank you to you all for the gems of info I have picked up here.
