Hiya,
I don't know what the problem is, but I will go on the assumption that it won't start a cycle and/or won't drain?
This is the most common problem with dishwashers, and is usually due to the fact:
1) The dishwasher has moved backwards slightly, and therefore 'kinked' the drain pipe, so it can't drain.
2) There is a blockage in the drain hose.
Both of these problems will stop a dishwasher doing anything, as it will always 'drain' at the start of a new cycle, so moving the machine forward should cure both.
Also, it could be a 'logic control' problem, in which case, switch off at the mains, leave it for 30 mins, and then switch in on and try again. TRY THIS 1ST.
I'm not an Engineer, however I used to work for a Euronics company here in Devon, and over a period of four years, about 85% of the amount of people that would want to buy a new Dishwasher or arrange an Engineer to visit, was simply down to the above.
